从1979年4月开始，黄锐在北京西城区赵登禹路的家就成了“星星”艺术家们聚会的场所。这个房间不仅是“星星画会”的中心成员：马德升、王克平、严力、李爽、钟阿城、薄云等时常出入的地方，也是诞生“星星”名称、行动概念、展览场地和展览方式的地点，同时还是中国美协主席、北京市美协主席前来审查作品的地方。一些崭新的意念激浪般涌出，描画和定义了中国当代艺术的创造版图。
Since April 1979, Huang Rui’s home on Zhao Dengyu Road in Xicheng District, Beijing became a gathering place for the Stars artists. This room was not only frequently visited by the core members of the Stars Group like Ma Desheng, Wang Keping, Yan Li, Li Shuang, Zhong Acheng, Bo Yun, etc., but was also the place where the name, action concept, exhibition venue and exhibition mode of the Stars were born. It was also the spot where the chairman of the China Artists Association and the chairman of the Beijing Artists Association came to examine works. The creative landscape of contemporary Chinese art has been delineated and defined by a wave of new ideas here.
此外，因为临近的地址，“四月影会”的池小宁、李恬常来做客，参加“星星”会议，并从此衍生出池小宁、任曙林拍摄《星星美展》——新中国第一部独立纪录片的创意决定。至于更早的时间，1978年秋天，诗人北岛、芒克、黄锐通过树下的啤酒讨论，催生出最具中国当代文学意义的《今天》诗歌杂志。
In addition, Chi Xiaoning and Li Tian of the April Film Club nearby often came to visit and participated the Stars meetings. From there derived Chi Xiaoning and Ren Shulin’s creative decision of filming The Stars Art Exhibition, the first independent documentary in New China. In the autumn of 1978, poet Beidao, Mangke and Huang Rui brought forth the Today poetry magazine, which was of the most significance in the Chinese contemporary literature, over a discussion with beer under the tree.
可以不过分地说，这个“星星”的房间，曾经是中国前卫诗歌、艺术、摄影三段佳话的聚合地。
Above all, this Stars room can be seen as the gathering place of once three legendary streams of Chinese avant-garde poetry, art and photography.

这里介绍了6幅摄影作品，都是“四月影会”摄影师为星星美展拍摄的。“四月影会”成立于1979年春天，他们举办的《自然、社会、人》摄影展开拓了中国当代摄影史。成员中的池小宁、李晓斌都成为黄锐的挚友。
Here are six photos, all of which were taken by the photographers of "April Photo Society" for the Stars Exhibition. "April Photo Society" was founded in the spring of 1979. Their exhibition "Nature, Society and Man" opened up the history of Chinese contemporary photography. Members in the group such as Chi Xiaoning and Li Xiaobin all have became Huang Rui's lifelong friends.
